Declaration of Compliance
This page is maintained by the Eyegis team to explain the standards our lenses are engineered and tested against, and the scope of our compliance statements.
Applicable optical standards
Every Eyegis lens design is engineered and independently laboratory-tested against internationally recognized standards: ANSI Z80.3 (United States) for non-prescription sunglass and fashion eyewear, EN ISO 12312-1 (Europe) for sunglasses and general-use eyewear, and AS/NZS 1067.1 (Australia & New Zealand).
What we measure
Independent laboratory verification covers full spectral transmission (280–780 nm), UV protection, Visible Light Transmission (Tv), color fidelity — including Traffic Signal Recognition (Tsig) for accurate red/yellow/green perception — and mechanical robustness of the frame.
E-Guard Retina™ and E-Guard Circadian™
Our E-Guard Retina™ and E-Guard Circadian™ scores are proprietary indicators derived from the measured transmission spectrum. They are inspired by scientific literature (CIE, ICNIRP, ANSI) and are not medical certifications and should not be interpreted as medical claims.
Marketplace conformity
Products distributed through Amazon marketplaces follow the local conformity, labelling and consumer-information requirements of each destination country.
